The Simplest Way To Manage Harddisk Partitions

harddisk partition
Let say you have 91.75GB (C: drive 20GB while D: drive 71.75GB)
Suddenly you wish to increase your C: drive to 30GB but you don't want to format your PC.
Well you don't have to..
Windows Vista / Windows 7
1) Start -> Run -> type in 'Diskmgmt.msc' and press Enter.
2) Right click any of your drive and choose either 'Expand Volume' or 'Shrink Volume'
3) Enter your desired size to shrink or expand, and Windows will do the rest for you.
You may need to shrink one of your drives before you could expand the other. You'll also need to have enough free space on that particular drive (defragged) to be able to 'shrink' :)
You may also use the software introduced below too.
Windows XP
You will need to download 3rd party software for this, luckily here's a free one: Partition Wizard Home Edition(Supports Windows Vista/7 as well). It is a very powerful software with lots of features. I haven't tried it myself but it received quite a number of positive reviews for it's simplicity and usability.
Please leave your comments here if you manage to try it :)
