To record your computer screen and save it as video, there are many different software available. Some professional ones like Camtasia Studio costs $299.
ScreenToaster is a free web tool which doesn't require any software download/installation. If you just want to record a simple video without any fancy features, this is all you need.
1) Go to the ScreenToaster.com recording section.
2) If you choose 'Rectangular Area' in the settings, a black rectangle will appear on your screen and you may resize/move it as you like. You may choose to record audio as well.
3) During the record process you may pause anytime.
4) After finish recording, you may add subtitles/audio to your video. After that you could straight away upload your video to Youtube or the ScreenToaster official website. You may opt to save the video as well. The downside of this tool is you'll have to register an account before you could do any of these actions, fortunately the registration process is swift and you only need to enter your name, email and password.
